Stage 1 - Reading and internal organising of data
The acoustics input data sit in one or more files with possibly different formats and possibly different resolutions (e.g. 1 mile or 5 miles), as a rule one file for each participating vessel. All files for one survey (i.e. year) sit in one directory. The biological data all have the IMR SPD format and the pattern for storing is the same as for the acoustic data. The binding of data variables to files for specific years is made in the program setBiologyFilesAndAreaConstantsAutumn.
