consumptionByHarpSeal
The routine consumptionByHarpSeal calculates consumptionCapelinByHarpSeal and consumptionCodByHarpSeal, in biomass units, of consumptions during one time step (one month). Internally in the routine, the consumption by pups and adults are calculated separately. The calculation of consumption is based on the following lists:
harpSealMonthlyConsumptionAdults and harpSealMonthlyConsumptionPups of consumption by month per harp seal.
harpSealDietDistributionFunctions
harpSealPeriodDietMeans
The two latter lists are made by the program makeHarpSealDietFunction. The consumption is calculated as the consumption per harp seal times the number of harp seals times the proportion of capelin (or cod) in the harp seal diet.
